■ 開 催 主 旨

Waseda University, Japan Association Administrative Science, the Institute of Global Business (IGB Network), and the Kozai Group are pleased to announce a forum on developing global management competencies in collaboration with Alue Co,. Ltd. The global forum will focus on what multinational corporations must do to develop globally competent leaders and employees ― leaders and employees equipped with the skills, sophistication, and characteristics to be effective in diverse business roles in an ever more complex global business environment.

The forum will feature key note speeches and workshops by various eminent professors in this field. At the forum (see details on the application form), you will be able to have access to ground-breaking data and information about the most current trends in developing global talent. The objectives of the forum are to increase awareness and understanding of the importance of developing global leaders in the Japanese organizations. Though almost all organizations need the right type of people in international positions, there has not (until now) been a clear definition of what being “globally competent” actually means.


Historically, research in this area has tended to focus on Europe and America while focusing less on Japan, China, the Far East and other regions.


This forum aims to focus particularly on a truly global perspective on leadership and human capital development in Japanese organizations.
